According to the Turkish Steel Producers Association, crude steel production in Turkey in July was 2.9 million tons, up 7.7% from the same month last year and the first increase in 14 months. They said that domestic steel consumption increased 17% y/y due to increased construction demand. Imports of steel products increased 16.1% to 1.5 million tons.
