Tokyo Steel keeps All Products Prices in August

Tokyo Steel Manufacturing announced on Tuesday the firm didn’t change the selling price of all products for August order, which didn’t change the price since November 2007. Mr. Naoto Ohori, executive general major, said the firm didn’t change the price when dealers’ shipment keeps slow and bankruptcy of building contractor is increasing. Mr. Ohori said large business investment is strong, steel demand keeps good condition in mainly developing country. Mr. Ohori explained the firm will discern the market condition because dollar rate and oil price is sensitive, and ferrous scrap decreased. The firm is increasing export to South Korea and South East Asia when buyers are increasing offer to Tokyo Steel Manufacturing.Their offer price is flat at FOB US$ 1,350 per tonne for H-beam, US$ 1170 for hot-rolled steel coil from last month. The firm expects steel sheet export at about 100,000 tonnes in September-October producing.
