Japan Secondary Al Alloy Makers Get 2-3 Yen/Kg Higher Price

Japanese secondary aluminium alloy makers apparently concluded the price negotiation with the users including die-casting makers around Osaka to increase the price by 2-3 yen per kilogram for August shipment from July. The price increases to 305-310 yen per kg for AD12.1 grade. The alloy makers sought more than 20 yen per kg hike for August and September to cover higher cost for metallic silicone and other subsidiary materials and energy. The primary aluminium ingot price decreased under lower price at London Metal Exchange. The alloy makers were forced to accept lower price in the first half of August. The makers increased the sense of crisis after they were forced to accept lower price for automobile at the quarterly price negotiation. The makers try to avoid lower price recently and got contract price for motorcycle at as high as 320 yen per kg. The alloy makers try to increase the price level for September shipment when they are suffered from the higher cost factors.
