Alloyed Al Makers Reduce Al Scrap Price by 5 yen/kg

Secondary aluminium alloy makers succeeded to reduce the scrap purchase price by 5 yen per kilogram both for high and low grade for first half of September at negotiation with scrap dealers around Tokyo. The scrap price decreased with lower international market as negotiation for second half of August. Aluminium scrap supply around Tokyo is slow recently after the suppliers liquidated the materials by mid-August. The supply, however, is balanced to the demand when alloyed aluminium makers also reduce the purchase volume due to slower demand for automobile. Aluminium ingot future price was US$ 2,688 per tonne at London Metal Exchange on Thursday and yen rate was more than 107 yen per US dollar. Japanese primary aluminium ingot price decreased to 295 yen per kg, which dropped to less than 300 yen for the first time in 5 months.
