Japan Low Output of Copper Rolled Products in August

Japanese rolled copper production was 70,180 tonnes at a quick estimation in August, decreasing by 4.4% from a year earlier, according to Japan Copper & Brass Association. The production turned to the year-to-year decrease again after June 2008. The outputs were especially low for brass bar and copper tube, both of which hit the bottom in late 25 years due to the slow demand from constructions. The production of phosphor bronze sheet and strip also represented 2-digit y/y down.
