Nippon Metal Industry announced on Friday the firm increases the sales of austenite nickel series stainless steel for spring, NTKD-78 in domestic and overseas market. The firm will increase application of it for building material, electronic or automobile component. The selling price of it is lower by 10-15% than austenite series SUS304 when contained amount of nickel is low for NTKD-78.
NTKD-78 includes 17% of chrome, 2.5% of nickel, 6% of manganese and 2.3% of iron. The firm developed NTKD-78 in 2007. The demand for NTKD-78 is increasing for stainless steel spring for electronic component, which is being used for precision component for printer or digital camera. The firm decreased the output of NTKD-78 to over 100 tonnes per month currently due to economic crisis, but the output is kept firm compared with SUS304 which is general products.| M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
