Nippon Steel Increases Production Size of Hyper-Beam

Nippon Steel announced on Wednesday the firm added new 68 size products of hyper-beam, fixed outer dimension H-beam. New size products are 34 sizes of thicker type and 34 sizes which have been custom-ordered. The firm increased to 327 sizes from 257 sizes.

The firm started the production in Sakai iron works in 1989. Hyper beams are used in steel structural construction buildings, which streamline the beam processing and simplify designing. Users have increased the orders due to a lot of size lineup and excellent dimensional accuracy.

Nippon Steel streamlined the manufacturing, improved the quality and expanded the size by the enhancement of rough rolling process in last spring. Users became able to select varied sizes to respond for large-size structures such as factory or building.
