Japan Cu Official Price Declines by 20,000Y/T

Nippon Mining & Metals announced on Monday that the firm revised down the official copper ingot price by 4% or 20,000 yen to 500,000 yen per tonne for domestic shipment in July. The new price is as low as the price at the end of May. The monthly averaged price decreased by 12,700 yen to 509,500 yen per tonne compared with the previous revision on Wednesday.

Nippon Mining & Metals reflected the continuous decline in copper price at overseas market and the appreciation of yen to price cut. Copper settlement at London Metal Exchange decreased by 3.5% or US$ 172 to US$ 4,840 per tonne on Friday compared with the previous Japanese official copper price revision on Wednesday.

Telegraphic transfer selling rate was 93.90 yen per US dollar on Monday, which was 1.61 yen or 1.7% higher from Wednesday.
