Bando Densen Opens Thai FFC Plant in August as Scheduled

Bando Densen, an independent electric cable maker headed in Saitama, Japan, opens its new plant in Thailand to manufacture flexible flat cable (FFC) in August 2009 as scheduled. The firm received orders for FFC from Japanese major electric appliance maker’s plant in Thailand. Bando Densen’s new plant will enter commercial production in November 2009. The annual revenue is expected to exceed 100 million yen in the first phase.

The new plant will open on 25 August. Bando Densen rented a plant building inside Amata Nakorn industrial estate in Muang, Chonburi Province. Facility introduction will complete in early August. The investment is approximately 100-200 million yen.

Bando Densen now manufactures FFC at Sakado plant in Saitama, Japan, Shanghai plant and Dongguan plant in China. Thai plant is the fourth FFC production site. By November 2009 when Thai plant enters mass production, Chinese plants will supply FFC to Thai customers.

Bando Densen expects order receipts from nearby Japanese electric appliance makers and office equipment makers in Thailand. The firm aims to post annual revenue at 300 million yen at Thai plant.
