Manganese Ferroalloy export Price Seems Rise from China

Manganese ferroalloy market price is likely to more rise. Chinese silicon-manganese suppliers are offering at CIF US$ 1,600 per tonne to Japan and increased by US$ 500 compared with recent contract price’ according to Japanese large dealer. The supply and demand became tight. Chinese crude steel was record high per month. Spot manganese ore price became double for China. Japanese electric furnace makers are likely to re-start bulk buying of silicon manganese after October.

Japanese silicon manganese import price was bottom at CIF US$ 940-960 per tonne from India for the shipping in April and May while increased to US$ 1,100 after the shipping in June. Indian silicon manganese was sold out for the shipping in August. The price from India is likely to achieve US$ 1,200 for the shipping in September.

Japanese electric furnace makers’ inventory adjustment is running late for ferroalloy due to decreased output. They have surpassed by spot buying of it from India. They seem to begin in earnest with the buying of it when they will purchase 3 month’s silicon manganese.

Japanese importers seem to purchase it from China, but Chinese silicon manganese price is rising to over US$ 1,400 or as high as US$ 1,600 when manganese ore price is increasing to China. Manganese ore price decreased to US$ 3.5 per tonne to China for the shipping in July and August from US$ 5.5 for the shipping in April and May when Chinese ferroalloy makers reduced largely since last year, but spot manganese ore price achieved at US$ 7 when Chinese importers increased buying volume.
