Local electric furnace steel makers pay 28,500-30,000 yen per tonne for H2 grade around Tokyo. The supply usually gets dull due to the makers’ summer time maintenance outage in July-September. However, the current supply is expected to keep tight due to very slow scrap generation along with firm export shipping from Tokyo bay.
