Topy Industries’ H-beam production share was no.6 in Japan in fiscal 2009 ended March 2009 while the firm was no.8 share in fiscal 2007. The firm increased the production when Japanese production decreased by 16.7% to 4.03 million tonnes in fiscal 2008 from fiscal 2007.
JFE Bars & Shapes’ share was no.8 in fiscal 2008 compared with no.6 position in fiscal 2007 when the firm reduced the production by 43.3% in fiscal 2008 from fiscal 2007. The top maker of Tokyo Steel Manufacturing’s H-beam production decreased by 13.1% to 1.35 million tonnes in fiscal 2008 from fiscal 2007. The share increased by 1.4 percentage points to 33.5%. The second maker of Nippon Steel decreased the production by 21.4% to 730,000 tonnes and the share decreased by 1.1 point to 18.2%. The no.3 maker of JFE Steel reduced the production by 11.7% to 620,000 tonnes in fiscal 2008 from fiscal 2007 and the share increased by 0.9 points to 15.5%.
