Japan Steel Export Decreases by 3.3% in July

Japanese steel export decreased by 3.3% to 3.167 million tonnes in July from a year earlier, according to Japan Iron & Steel Association. The export value decreased by 42.2% to 246.843 billion yen. The export volume increased to Asia, but the export value decreased to all areas. The steel import decreased by 52.5% to 347,581 tonnes. The import value decreased by 71.7% to 35.466 billion yen. The import volume decreased except for Russia while the import value decreased from all area.
