Higher Japan Cu, Lead Ingot Price

Nippon Mining & Metals announced on Monday the firm increases the official copper ingot price by 30,000 yen to 510,000 yen per tonne for June shipment, which is the highest level since early May. Mitsubishi Materials increased the official lead ingot price by 9,000 yen to 198,000 yen per tonne for June shipment.

Nippon Mining & Metals reflects higher international price. Copper settlement increased by US$ 139 to US$ 4,776 per tonne at London Metal Exchange on Friday from previous day, which was the yearly high and the heist level since October 2008. The LME price was US$ 272 higher than previous revision.

Mitsubishi Materials also revised the lead ingot price when LME lead price was US$ 89.5 per tonne higher than the level at previous revision while LME lead price decreased by US$ 93 to US$ 1,530 on Friday from previous day.

Mitsui Mining & Smelting left the official zinc ingot price unchanged at 185,000 yen per tonne for June shipment. LME zinc settlement increased by US$ 84 to US$ 1,509 per tonne but the price level was only US$ 41.5 higher than the level at previous revision.
