Ahresty Increases Local Die Casting Supply to Nissan in North America

Ahresty, Japanese major die casting maker, shifts some domestic production of automotive parts to offshore plants in September. More than 50% production of ladder frame and cam bracket at Ahresty Tochigi, Japan will be transferred to the subsidiary in Mexico to supply the products for Nissan Motor’s plant in North America.

Ahresty Tochigi has supplied cam bracket for SERENA and ladder frame for X-TRAIL, set up at Nissan’s plants in Yokohama, Japan and North America. Ahresty’s subsidiary in Mexico starts commercial production of cam bracket in September and ladder frame in October.

Ahresty Tochigi currently produces die casting at 300,000 units per month. Ladder frame and cam bracket for Nissan accounts for 15-20% in Tochigi’s total output, most of which are brought to North America.

Ahresty’s subsidiary in Mexico has produced aluminium die casting, such as engine block, mainly for Jatco Mexico, Mexicana site of Japanese transmission maker. This is the first direct order receipts from Nissan.
