Amada Launches Sales Company in Vietnam

Amada, Japanese major tool machine maker, announced on Wednesday the firm establishes a sales and service company, Amada Vietnam, for steel sheet bending and cutting machine in Hanoi, Vietnam on October 1. The firm aims to respond for expanding equipment market in Vietnam. Amada Vietnam plans annual revenue at 500 million yen in fiscal 2010 ending in March 2011.

Many Japanese makers have entered Vietnam to manufacture automobiles, appliances and precision machines in the country. Amada’ s old machines, such as NC punching press or press brake, are used at the makers’ sites.

Amada’ s new base will support maintenance of bending machines and supply components, new machines or computer systems. The capital fund is 18 million yen, totally invested by Amada. Mr. Kazunori Kojima, Vietnam group leader of Amada, becomes the president of the new company with 5 employees.
