Flat Colored Galvalume Sheet Price around Tokyo

Colored galvalume steel sheet price is flat around Tokyo. The market price is around 230,000 yen per tonne for small-weighted coil for base size and around 210,000 yen for large-weighted coil. Some dealers said inquiries show slight increase. However, the shipment is not increasing in demand season. The makers and dealers try to increase the price to improve the profitability while the price would stay flat for a while.

The inventory held by makers and dealers are low level. However, the buyers’ order is thin and small lot with no sign for recovery. The dealers have some stock out sizes and colors in the stock but the dealers can meet the low level orders by purchasing from other dealers.

Market sources expect the price would increase when the shipment increase slightly while they cannot see the sign yet. The dealer sources recognize they have to cut price for some transactions under very slow demand.
