Japan Steel Export Increases by 14.6% in October

Japanese steel export increased by 14.6% to 3.398 million tonnes in October from a year earlier, which increased for 3 months in a row due to the firm demand in Asia, announced by Ministry of Finance on Wednesday. The volume showed first month-to-month decline in 6 months. The export value was 260.628 billion yen, down by 38% from a year earlier. The value decreased for 12 months in a row and showed decline to all countries and regions

Japanese import volume decreased by 35.2% to 517,068 tonnes in October from a year earlier while the value decreased by 65.1% to 46.38 billion yen. The import volume and value from all countries and regions except Middle East decreased from a year earlier.
