Bunka Shutter and Fuji Sash Advance Cooperation for Better Profitability

Tetsuya Mogi, president of Bunka Shutter, explained at a press conference held in Tokyo on Friday that the firm aims sales expansion through a favorable cooperation with Fuji Sash. Mr. Mogi said Bunka Shutter expects for the sales increase by 1 billion yen per year and the profit increase by 200 million yen per year in fiscal 2009 ending in March 2010 through the cooperation with Fuji Sash. Bunka Shutter also expects for the sales growth by 10 billion yen and the profit growth by 2 billion yen for next 3 fiscal years.

Bunka Shutter and Fuji Sash mainly cooperate in renewal and reform . They are trying to increase both companies’ sales through collaborative marketing for mutual customers and other measures. Co-developed products are scheduled to be released in early 2010.

Bunka Shutter and Fuji Sash are also cooperating in cost reductions through integration of distribution and material procurement. The 2 companies are talking on cooperation advancement in 4 fields; sales, product development, cost cut and finance. They eye more information exchange and keen cooperation, for example, mutual utilization of their test facilities.
