Flat Japan Secondary Al Alloy Price in November

Japanese secondary alloyed aluminium makers concluded with the users including die-casting makers to keep the price as October for November shipment. The alloy makers sought 5-10 yen per kilogram higher price to the users while the price was finally left unchanged. The price is 190-200 yen per kg for AD 12.1 alloy with 120 days note transaction.

The makers felt strong resistance for higher price for November by the users. However, the users resisted higher price when the price increased from April to September and the raw material price decreases since mid-September.

Aluminium price was firm at London Metal Exchange in November. The price hit US$ 2,000 per tonne since mid-November while domestic primary aluminium price hit 200 yen per kilogram. The alloy makers try to increase the price when the raw materials price rebounded since mi-November and Chinese alloy makers increased the offer to around US$ 1,900 per tonne.

The price for November was in line with October level. The price could decrease for December when LME aluminium price increases to US$ 2,100 per tonne while yen rate hit 14-year high against US dollar.
