China Secondary Alloyed Aluminium Makers Eye Expansion

Chinese secondary alloyed aluminium makers of Guangdong Longda Aluminium and Baoding Longda Aluminium Industry, both of which Nippon Kinzoku has interests, keep full capacity operation at monthly 4,000 tonnes since late November when the order receipt is more than the capacity under strong domestic demand. The alloy makers study expansion and new plant project to decide in early 2010, according to official of Nippon Kinzoku.

Guangdong Longda Aluminium’s order receipt reached 3,500 tonnes in September after month to month recovery since spring 2009. The operation reached full capacity level in November for the first time since August 2008. The firm tries to meet higher demand from local transplant of Toyota Motor and Honda Motor and expects the strong demand continues in 2010.

Guangdong Longda Aluminium originally planned to double the output capacity to annual 100,000 tonnes of by January 2009. The firm postponed the expansion due to slow demand but the firm now prepares for expansion to meet growing demand.

Baoding Longda Aluminium Industry also operates at full capacity to meet higher demand from local automakers and transplant of Toyota Motor and Honda Motor in Tianjin. Baoding Longda Aluminium Industry studies to add new production line by acquiring adjacent land of existing plant.
