Nippon Kosyuha Steel to Expand Special Steel Sales in China and Southeast Asia

Nippon Kosyuha Steel, Japanese major special steel maker, launches the new 3-year management plan starting in April 2010. The firm forms a concrete targets for fiscal 2010-2012 while eyeing the long-term management for 10 years.

During 10 years from fiscal 2010, the firm aims to raise the export rate of special steel products to China and Southeast Asia from current 15% to 30%. The firm targets mass-produced products for local users. On the other hand, the firm will also expand the sales of high grade products for airplane, energy, medical treatment and automobile.

As to tool steel, the firm builds up the production system such as the auto-production process by high-frequency wave casting and high-efficiency production line.

Japanese automobile and construction machine makers are shifting their productive bases to China or Southeast Asia from Japan. The demand for middle-grade special steel products is growing in emerging countries. Nippon Kosyuha Steel chases the demand strategically.
