Strong Market Price of Secondary Aluminium Alloy, Tokyo

Secondary aluminium alloy price is likely to surge in Tokyo when primary aluminium and aluminium scrap prices are widely increasing. Local alloy makers are selling AD12.1 grade ingot at around 195-200 yen per kilogram for small-lot shipment in January. The price upped by around 10 yen from December.

Aluminium scrap market price surged by 10-15 yen per kg in early January. Primary aluminium price at London Metal Exchange exceeded US$ 2,300 per tonne at 3-month purchasing in afternoon trading on January 11th, the yearly highest level. Strong material prices would push up secondary aluminium alloy price.

Local secondary aluminium makers are going to offer 20 yen hike against large-lot customers for January shipment compared with December.
