Maruichi Steel Tube establishes the second steel pipe plant in China and starts the operation at the end of 2010, announced on Friday. The new production site, Maruichi Metal Product (Tianjin) has 12,000 tonnes of capacity per year with one tube production line and 2 cutting machines. MMPT plans to introduce one tube production line, one slitter and 6 cutting machines in the second phase.
MMPT is wholly owned by Maruichi Metal Product (Foshan), a China based equity method affiliate of Maruichi Steel Tube. MMPF manufactures pipe and steel band. Maruichi Steel Tube establishes the new plant when Japanese and Taiwanese users in China request pipe supply in Tianjin area. The firm established MMPT in November 2009. Maruichi Steel Tube advances the construction of the plant with 4,000 square meters of floor space on 7,000 square meters site in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area.| M | T | W | T | F | S | S |
