Aichi Steel Raises Stainless Products by 10-15% in April

Aichi Steel announced on Monday the firm raises the selling price of nickel and chrome series stainless shaped steel and bar by 10-15% for April contracts. This is the first hike of nickel series products since September 2009. Raw material costs are rising.

The firm raises the selling of stainless angle, channel, H-beam, flat bar, shaped steel and round bar when nickel and ferrochrome prices are surging. The demand of stainless shaped steel is recovering for semiconductors or water treatment. Dealers’ shipment is expected to increase slightly when dealers’ inventory is low level.

Aichi Steel examines the additional price hike along the raw material price trend.
