Mitsubishi Shindoh Plans Better Results in 2010

Mitsubishi Shindoh plans more than 3 billion yen of recurring profit in 2010 compared with 109 million yen in 2009. The firm expects 140,000 tonnes of production and around 100 billion yen of sales due to firm demand for semiconductor and other electronic materials while the production was around 100,000 tonnes and the sales were 75.955 billion yen in 2009.

The recurring profit decreased by 89.9% in 2009 from 2008. The net loss was 1.004 billion yen compared with 287 million yen of profit in 2008. The sales decreased by 31.3% due to 30% lower production.

The firm expects the demand will keep firm for electronic materials including terminal connector and semiconductor lead frame through the year while the automobile demand could slow down in second half year. The firm tries to establish stable operation of new rolling line at the plant in Sakai, Osaka while the firm increases the export.

The firm is making new business plan from 2011 to 2013. The firm targets around 1,000 tonnes per month of sales for the lead free brass bar, ECO BRASS in 2013 compared with 150-200 tonnes now.
