Nisshin Steel Increases Production Capacity of Cold rolling Mills in Shunan

Nisshin Steel, Japanese major stainless maker will improve production efficiency of stainless cold rolling mill in Shunan plant. The firm plans to increase the production capacity o rolling mill by over 10% through expansion of laser welding of tandem Sendzimir mill and buildup of mill motor. The firm will increase customer satisfaction by shortening of delivery date, production efficiency and improvement of control accuracy.

The plant has mills of 4 types such as Sendzimir mill, and keeps pace users’ requests, which has production capacity of rolling mills of about 60,000 tonnes per month. Tandem Sendzimir mill produces general stainless products plate at 30,000 tonnes per month.

The firm improves tandem sendzimir mill, and introduced laser welder for welding process and changed 2 mill mortars to alternate current from direct current. The rolling mills’ capacity increases by over 10% to about 33,000 tonnes per month. The firm increases the production of stainless plate and reduced production period.

The firm carries out production-efficient of reverse sendzimir mill for shin steel sheet and reduces production cost.

The firm introduces process computer or changes electric system of continuous annealing and pickling line within fiscal 2011, and enhances competition power of Shunan plant.
