Taguchi Metals Starts Aluminium Desulfurizer Production at Okazato Plant

Tokyo headed metal scrap processor, Taguchi Metals Corporation started production of aluminium desulfurizing agent. The firm keeps high production of the desulfurizing agent as well as aluminium deoxidizer processed at Okazato plant in Ibaraki, Japan.

Okazato plant has processed steel and aluminium can scrap into aluminium deoxidizer and reduced iron by an external heat, non-oxygen rotary kiln. The plant started production of aluminium desulfurizing agent in summer 2009 complying with the customers’ requests.

Taguchi Metals’ deoxidizer contains aluminium at 93-95% and the desulfurizer at 90%. The order receipts have increased for the both products along domestic steel makers’ output recovery.

Okazato plant was previously Japanese steel manufacturer Kurimoto’s subsidiary, acquired by Taguchi Metals in November 2007. Taguchi Metals recognizes Okazato plant as the firm’s flagship manufacturing site to enhance and diversify high value added businesses.
