Daiki Aluminium to Increase Shipment by 17.7% in Fiscal 2010

Daiki Aluminium Industry plans to increase the domestic secondary aluminium alloy ingot shipment by 17.7% to just more than 240,000 tonnes for fiscal 2010 started April from fiscal 2009, which increases for the first time since fiscal 2008. The firm increases the ingot purchase from Shanghai Sigma Metals and Delta Aluminium Industry by 16.3% to just more than 100,000 tonnes for AD 12.1 grade. Daiki Aluminium estimates the domestic demand is firm in fiscal 2010 while the demand growth is limited.

Daiki Aluminium’s domestic production was 21,700 tonnes in March. The production increases from February when die-casting makers increased the purchase volume. The daily production slightly increased in April from March. The firm keeps stable supply by importing the raw material from the partners in China.

The firm estimates the domestic production decreased by 36.3% to 204,000 tonnes in fiscal 2009 from fiscal 2008 when the users decreased the purchase volume for their inventory adjustment.
