Shinsho Corporation to Establish Al Plate Processing Subsidiary in China

Kobe Steel’s trading subsidiary, Shinsho Corporation plans to increase the consolidated sales of nonferrous metal business unit from 140 billion yen in fiscal 2009 ended March 2010 to 230 billion yen in fiscal 2015 and 310 billion yen in fiscal 2020, announced on Monday.

Shinsho Corporation establishes the aluminium plate processing subsidiary in Thailand and invests in Thai copper tubular manufacturing company until fiscal 2015. The capital expenditure is estimated at 4 billion yen. The firm increases the sales of nonferrous metal products such as aluminium sheet for electronics and automotive, copper tubular and aluminium fin for air conditioner in Asia and Europe in the new long term plan.

The Chinese subsidiary, Suzhou Shinko-Shoji Material manufactures aluminium sheet to serve for electronics and automobile related users. Shinsho Corporation plans to establish the aluminium plate subsidiary to meet the growing demand for liquid crystal panel and semiconductor in China.
