Topy Industries Expands Steel Track Output Capacity in China

Topy Industries announced on Monday the firm builds up the capacity of Qingdao Topy Machinery, a subsidiary to produce undercarriage components for construction vehicles in China. The firm will expand the output capacity of steel links, bushes and tracks with investment of approximately 600 million yen. In China, demand for construction vehicles is expected to continue strong growth along active infrastructure constructions. Qingdao Topy Machinery will increase processing capacity by 4 times for links, by 40% for bushes and assembly capacity by 50% for tracks. The new facilities will enter full operations in January 2011.

Qingdao Topy Machinery produces and sells steel tracks for construction machines, and components for tracks such as links and bushes. The annual sales were 556 million yuan (approximately 7.5 billion yen) in fiscal 2009 ended in March 2010. Topy Industries will build up the supply system of steel tracks in Japan and China as well as accelerate local material purchasing ratio for better profitability.
