Toyota Motor to Increase Production in June-August

Toyota Motor’s domestic daily automobile production is estimated at around 14,000 units in 16 operation days in August, according to industry source. The monthly production is around 225,000 units. The firm increased the monthly production plan by 9,000 units for June and by 25,000 units for July compared with the original plan in April. The domestic production is expected to firm until September.

Toyota Motor notified pars and other suppliers of the production estimation in June-August late last week. The daily production is estimated at around 13,500 units in 22 operation days in June while the production in July with 21 operation days is estimated at around 14,000 units per day. The monthly production is slightly less than 300,000 units in June and July.

The averaged daily production of 3 months is around 13,800 units. Due to the recall problem, the production decreased to 12,000 units at the bottom. The production is increasing but Toyota Motor could decrease the production after October when the subsidies for purchasing ecologically-friendly car by government will expire by the end of September.
