Japan Official Zn Price Declines by 10,000 yen to 200,000 yen/t

Mitsui Mining & Smelting announced the firm revised down the official zinc ingot price by 10,000 yen to 200,000 yen per tonne for the shipment in June when the price at London Metal Exchange decreased and yen exchange rate increased against US dollar, announced on Monday. The monthly averaged price would be 204,800 yen without any more revision within June.

Zinc settlement at LME declined by US$ 24 to US$ 1,703.50 per tonne on Friday from the previous day. The price decreased by US$ 69 from the previous revision by Mitsui Mining & Smelting on Wednesday.

Nonferrous metals price was increasing in a week through the middle of last week due to the speculative buying after the rebound of euro and the buy on reaction by actual users. However, the price declined later the week due to the profit-taking selling.

Telegraphic transfer selling rate increased by 1.11 yen to 91.55 yen per US dollar on Monday from the previous revision by Mitsui Mining & Smelting.
