Ahresty Tochigi Keeps High Operation for Al Die Casting

Ahresty, Japanese major die casting maker, continues high operation at Ahresty Tochigi, a subsidiary in Tochigi, Japan. Ahresty Tochigi keeps almost full capacity operation mainly for aluminium die casting at 2,700 tonnes or 450,000 units per month. Order receipts are increasing from Nissan Motor and Fuji Heavy Industries. Ahresty Tochigi’s annual revenue is expected to increase by 20% to 18 billion yen in fiscal 2010 ending in March 2011 from the previous fiscal year.

Ahresty Tochigi will keep high production at 2,400-2,700 tonnes per month for July-September. Demand for aluminium die casting is strong in response to Japanese automakers’ high operations supported by the government’s tax credit policy for eco-friendly cars. In the second half of fiscal 2010, the production is estimated to slow down to around 2,000 tonnes per month since tax credit measure ceases.

Ahresty Tochigi had supplied cam bracket and ladder frame to Nissan’s plants in Yokohama, Japan and North America. Nissan shifted to local material procurement recently and then Ahresty transferred the production to its subsidiary in Mexico in fiscal 2009. Ahresty Tochigi has kept high operation increasing new order receipts for engine block, oil pan and ladder frame from Nissan and Fuji Heavy Industries.
