Nippon Steel Changes Quantity Decision Electric Steel Export

Nippon Steel agreed with Japanese electronics companies to change the price and quantity determination for non-oriented electrical steel sheet in terms of shipment. Nippon Steel has required users the change when the determination in terms of arrival has a risk factor of double taxation. The firm changes the quantity determination system from the shipment in July-September.

The users and Nippon Steel have decided the quantity in terms of arrival at the users’ site. The users have advantage when they can purchase the steel as much as needed. However, the inventory of steel makers and trade firms is affected by the gap between order and scheduled quantity.

On the other hand, the determination in terms of the steel makers’ shipment has less risk when the transfer of ownership is clear.
