Japanese Al Construction Material Production Increases by 7.7% in March

Japanese aluminium construction material production increased by 7.7% to 22,323 tonnes in March from a year earlier, which increased by 1.1% from February, according to Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry. The shipment increased by 5.6% to 26,404 tonnes from a year earlier, which increased by 18.8% from February.

The production of aluminium sash for wooden house increased by 18.6% in March from a year earlier while the shipment increased by 11.3%. The production and the shipment showed year-on-year increase for 2 months in a row. The production and shipment of aluminium exterior showed year-on-year increase for the first time in 3 months.On the other hand, the production and the shipment aluminium of sash for building showed two-digit year-on-year decrease under severe demand condition.
