Sanyo Special Steel to Add 5,000T Forging Press Machine

Sanyo Special Steel introduces a 5,000 tonnes free forging press machine for around 5 billion yen to increases bearing steel output meeting wind generators demand growth. The firm has started the construction and launches the operation in September 2011. Monthly forge steel output increases to 4,000-4,500 tonnes from 3,000 tonnes with 1,500 tonnes and 3,000 tonnes machines.

The Japanese largest bearing steel maker has slightly more than 30% share. The firm increases the output for wind power generator. The generators are getting larger when power cost decreases in proportion to wind turbines dimension. The firm increases the capacity of large diameter bearing steel when the bearings in main shaft and speed-up gear getting larger.
