Ye Chiu Group to Start Construction of New Alloy Plant in Malaysia

Asian major secondary aluminium alloy maker, Ye Chiu Group in China starts construction of Malaysian new plant in March 2011 to start the operation in first half of 2012. The firm tries to follow growing demand in Southeast Asia through the new plant with monthly 10,000 tonnes of output capacity. The firm also plans to build second plant with 25,000 tonnes of output capacity at Taicang, China in 2014 to start operation in 2015.

The firm operates existing Malaysian plant with monthly 7,500 tonnes of output capacity at full capacity. The firm tries to meet strong demand for automobile in Thailand and Indonesia. The firm decided the investment for the new plant to meet growing demand while the expansion was delay from original schedule to start construction in 2010.

The new Malaysian plant will be built around 10 kilometers away from existing plant. The construction will take 9 months to 12 months for the new plant with state of the art facilities including melting casting line and scrap automatic selecting machine.

The firm also expects higher demand in China at last annualized 10% growth in several years from now due to growing automobile demand. The firm tries to follow the growing demand through doubling the capacity at the Chinese plant.
