JFE Group Accepts First Mega Solar Station Work

JFE Steel announced on Tuesday the group companies accepted package contract for 1 megawatt photovoltaic power plant construction work in Miyazaki, Japan, which is the first megawatt power plant business for the group.

JFE Electrical & Control Systems is the prime contractor. JFE Civil Engineering & Construction designs photovoltaic frame with light weight and high corrosion resistance while JFE Welded Pipe Manufacturing produces pipe material for the mounting from zinc-5% aluminium alloy-coated steel sheet of JFE Galvanizing & Coating. The total project cost is 600 million yen.

JFE Electrical & Control Systems is one of the top companies of photovoltaic station construction work in Japan. The order receipt is total 8.5 megawatts for over 10 years. JFE Steel group tries to expand the solar power infrastructure business by assembling the group’s technology and knowhow from system design to maintenance.
