NSSC to Establish 3rd Overseas Office in China

Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel Corporation announced on Wednesday the firm establishes wholly owned subsidiary for market research and technical support in Shanghai, which is second Chinese office and third overseas office.

The subsidiary, Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel Consulting (Shanghai) got business license on August 10. The capital is US$ 15 million and the number of workers is 4 including 2 Chinese employees.

NSSC plans to increase the business opportunities in east China including Shanghai where the users’ needs for technical support increase, by establishing the new subsidiary while the firm has provided the service in the area with staffs from Japan and Guangzhou office.

NSSC established Bangkok office in Thailand in July 2006 and Guangzhou office in China in September 2006. The firm aims to expand overseas business by increasing supply of high-value added products including world’s first tin added stainless steel and duplex stainless steel.
