YKK to Construct New Factory in Wuxi’s Subsidiary

YKK Corporation announced on Tuesday the firm’s subsidiary in China, YKK Snap Fasteners (Wuxi) constructs the second factory. The subsidiary’s annual revenue is expected to increase by 60% to $ 73 million in 2012 compared with 2009. The subsidiary was established in March 2004 to manufacture and sell snaps and buttons. The commercial operation started in 2005. YKK decided the plant expansion since the sales volume recently exceeded the output capacity. The new factory will be constructed by capital increase of $ 13 million. The floor space will be 7,500 square meters. The construction is scheduled to complete in June 2011.
