Toyo Kohan Establishes Steel Laminating Subsidiary in China

Japanese tin plate maker, Toyo Kohan announced on Thursday the firm established steel sheet laminating subsidiary in Wujiang, Jiangsu of China. The wholly owned subsidiary, Toyo Kohan Jiangsu purchases tin free steel and supplies value added laminated steel sheet to steel paint can makers in China when the demand increases for high grade products. The firm launches commercial operation with 18,000 tonnes of annual output capacity in July 2011.

Toyo Kohan Jiangsu with 30 million yuan of capital was established in September. The chairman is Mr. Masafumi Miyaji, who is director and managing executive officer of Toyo Kohan. The workforce is expected to be around 30.

Toyo Kohan plans 5 billion yen of capital expenditure in three-year management plan ending fiscal 2012 ending March 2013. The firm already established trading subsidiary, Toyo Kohan Shanghai in 2009.
