Toyota Motor Plans 13,500 Domestic Finished Car Output in February

Toyota Motor’s finished car output in Japan is expected to be around 13,500 units per day in February and the output in January is expected to be slightly more than 13,000 units, according to industry sources.

Toyota Motor announced the production plan in December-February in the end of last week. The domestic finished car output in February is estimated at around 285,000 units with 21 operation days. The plan in 2 months, December and January, was as same as original plan. However, the firm seemed to revise up the plan in December while downed in January to equalize the output meeting the number of operation days.

The steel industry sources including coil centers said, the production plan of Toyota Motor in January-February is higher than originally expected. However, the sources are concerned about the decline in the output due to yen acceleration.
