NSSC’s Stainless Sheet Prices Set Unchanged for December

Nippon Steel & Sumikin Stainless Steel Corporation (NSSC) announced on Wednesday the firm doesn’t change the selling price of nickel and chrome series cold rolled stainless sheet for domestic dealers for December shipment while decreases the price of plate by 5,000 yen per tonne for December contracts along the alloy price system. Nickel series sheet price didn’t change when the base price upped by 5,000 yen while alloy price decreased by 5,000 yen. The sales price is 360,000 yen per tonne for cut edge nickel series sheet and 255,000 yen for cut edge chrome series sheet.

NSSC announced the price hike by 5,000 yen for nickel series cold rolled sheet on November 1st. Meanwhile, nickel market price decreased by US$ 0.41 per pound to US$ 10.39 in average of November. As a result, the alloy price lowered by 5,000 yen.

Domestic stainless steel demand is slightly recovering for houses and appliances though the market maintains totally low level. Dealers’ shipment levels off at low level. NSSC continues output volume control along the actual demand.
