Nippon Steel & Sumikin Welding Establishes New Shanghai Office of Welder Sales

Nippon Steel & Sumikin Welding, Japanese major welding material maker of Nippon steel’ subsidiary, established and starts the operation of new office in Shanghai on December 21 when the firm secures expanding demand for welder in China, and builds up service system for local users.

The firm sends a few persons to Shanghai office and lay on 4 persons in Shanghai office, and expands the sales of welder to Japanese manufactures or large dealers.

The firm’s plasma welder is exported the sales of 70% by direct and indirect exporting.. Japanese welder market is 300 sets per year in Japan, while the firm expects Chinese market increases by 4-5 times compared with domestic market after a few years. The firm expects the demand increases in China and Southeast Asia.

Shanghai office will expand the sales of plasma welder to automobile industry, appliance, pipe and container. Shanghai office sets one plasma welder in the office and will promote good performance of plasma welder. The firm plans to develop plasma welder for emerging countries. The firm plans to increase the sales of plasma welder by double to 300 sets in fiscal 2015 at ended March 2016 from 2010.

The firm has welding material, welding method and welder, which sells arc welder to mainly Chinese shipbuilders.
