Alconix to Start China Al Die Casting Plant in February

Japanese major nonferrous metal trading firm, Alconix Corporation launches the operation of die casting machine at the Chinese aluminium die casting manufacturing subsidiary, Alconix Diecast Suzhou (ADS) in February. ADS eyes production of automotive grade die casting in and after 2012 when the firm already got some requests from the users.

ADS will start the operation of die casting machine with 350 tonnes of die locking force. The firm introduced machining facilities in mid-October and started the test operation in December.

ADS started the sales of aluminium die casting, which is manufactured by 2 local subcontract plants, to Panasonic Corporation. ADS plans to increase the production by cultivating new users including home electronics makers.

The firm also eyes automotive aluminium die casting production to meet the growing demand in China. With local transplants of Japanese automotive parts makers’ request, the firm would start the production as early as in 2012.

ADS increases the subcontract plants to increase the supply base. The firm seeks the local partner in Chinese major die casing industry bases including Dalian and Ningbo.
