Yodogawa Steel Works to Establish Thai Wall, Roof Selling JV

Japanese major construction galvanized steel maker, Yodogawa Steel Works establishes steel wall material and roofing material selling joint venture in Thailand in January 2011, announced on Friday. Yodogawa Steel Works controls 90% of the new venture with around 100 million baths of capital while Japanese major steel trading firm, Marubeni-Itochu Steel has the 10% share. The JV is Yodogawa Steel Works’ second Thai operation sites after PCM Processing (Thailand), which processes flat steel including color coating.

The new JV, Yodoko (Thailand) in Bangkok will start the operation in January 2011 with 10 employees. Yodogawa Steel Works expects the revenue reaches 50 million baht in the first year.

Yodogawa Steel Works established PCM Processing in April 1999 and exports wall material from Japan to Thai transplants of Japanese companies through trading firms for around 3 years. The firm decided second site to increase the sales in Thailand and Asian countries. The firm has subsidiaries in Taiwan, China, Malaysia and India.
