Nippon Light Metal Starts New Sales Subsidiary in Shanghai

Japanese major aluminium re-roller, Nippon Light Metal starts the operation of sales subsidiary in Shanghai by the end of January. The subsidiary increases the sales of products of Nippon Light Metal’s group to local transplants of Japanese automobile parts makers and electronic material makers. The subsidiary targets the annual sales are 1 billion yen in 2011 and 2 billion yen in 2015.

Nippon Light Metal controls 100% of the sales company with 35 million yen of capital. Nippon Light Metal opened Shanghai representative office in November 2007. The firm shifts the employees of the office to new subsidiary while the new company adds 2 staffs from other Nippon Light Metal’s group company.

The subsidiary in Shanghai starts the sales of rolled aluminium products of Nippon Light Metal group to Japanese users in China. The firm also tries to develop local users step by step.
