Ahresty Plans 75% Operation in Japan, Expands Offshore Plants

Tokyo based aluminium diecasting maker, Ahresty plans to keep the higher level operation in January-March at more than 75% of the peak in same period of 2007. The production keeps high level mainly at the main Tochigi plant. The production level is 2-3% lower than October-December but the decrease is smaller than expected. The firm tries to expand the output at plants in Mexico and India to follow growing demand.

Ahresty estimated originally the production in January-March is around 60% of the peak in 2007. However, the firm now expects the higher order receipt would increase the production when the users keep higher production of finished car and automotive parts for export.

The Tochigi plant keeps high level operation to serve Nissan Motor and Fuji Heavy Industries. The plant in Yamagata keeps also high level production while the operation is slow in plants in Hamamatsu and Toyohashi.

The plant in Guangzhou keeps full capacity operation. The plant in India added 3 diecasting machines with 800 tonnes of capacity by December 2010, of which 2 machines were moved from Japanese plant. The plant in Mexico adds 800 tonnes diecasting machine in January 2011 and adds 2 machines with more than 1,000 tonnes capacity in 2011.
