Japan 5 Integrated Steels’ Output Increases by 8.6% in January

Japanese 5 integrated steel makers’ raw steel output increased by 8.6% to 7.664 million tonnes in January from a year earlier. The output increased by 7.8% from December. Their daily raw steel output was 247,000 tonnes in January. Total output in 10 months from April 2010 increased by 17.4% to 72.17 million tonnes from 10 months through January 2010.

Japanese 5 integrated steels’ pig iron output increased by 8.3% to 7.352 million tonnes in January from a year earlier. The output increased by 6.8% from December. The daily output was 237,000 tonnes. Total output in 10 months from April 2010 increased by 17.5% to 69.62 million tonnes from 10 months through January 2010.
